Giving Thanks Always

Just Say Thanks!

November is traditionally known as the harvest month, it delivers succulent aromas and sweet scents of freshly baked apple pie, garlic mashed potatoes and golden roasted butterballs or tofu if you prefer. As the seasons change, the crisp air blows the autumn leaves full of vibrant burnt orange colors, chocolate browns hues mixed with soft mauves and rich plums. Ahhh... the holidays are upon us.

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on our lives, our families, reaffirm our aspirations and goals. It's an opportunity to gather over the banquet table with loved ones and friends from far and near. Despite all the negativity and perils in the world, we can still find a ray of hope, through a smile, a hug, or a note of love. More importantly, setting aside this special day to reminiscence over the entire year's events many bring prospective and clarity of being thankful for all the little things in live.

Being thankful for your family, health, wealth and for all the good God has bestowed upon us. this is the true meaning of Thanksgiving.

This year do the {unexpected} for someone else. Pay-it-forward by reaching out to a family with special needs, volunteer to feed families at a local shelter. Send a delicious care package to some of our military families that can not be with their families during the holidays. Everyone is dealing with some type of difficult situation. Let's be less concerned with ourselves and show more concern for others. There is no right or wrong way to show love or care.

So as you celebrate the holidays with your families this year, remember the families fighting for this great nation, remember those who have gave their lives and families grieving the lost of lost of loved ones during the holidays. Spread some joy and love. Making a difference this year by adding healing to hurts or misunderstanding and simply disagreements within your own familiy circle during this time. We each need one another, it's about fellowship and it's about relationships. Be the difference for change.
